He started singing and playing blues and gospel in 1989 as a member of Cristina Aguayo’s choir.


After two years, in 1993, while his soloist carrear was going on, Gabriel Grätzer recorded “Big Road – Country Blues”. The cassette, produced by Fernando Goin contain ten country blues, negro spirituals and ballads recreations.

In 1995 his second record saw the light:: “Saturday Blues – Country Blues – Volumen II”. This work was sold with a book containing the history, and the lyrics of the country blues recorded in there. Again, Fernando Goin a country blues pioneer in Argentina, produced this recording and play in some tunes.

While he keep on going with the afroamerican music teaching, Gabriel Grätzer make some important contributions to the Country Blues local scene.

In 1996 (until 2002) he started playing in the Colon Theater (one of the most important liric theaters in the world with the Scala of Milan) converting Gabriel Grätzer in the first blues musician to play in there.

He also play regular in the hard Rock Cafe (never a country blues musician played in there in South America).

Beetwen 1998 and 1999 he published de Blues Special Bulletin, a magazine for Adrian Flores Blues Special Club.

He performed opening every internactional blues show in Buenos Aires: Billy Branch, Dave Myers, Eddie C. Campbell, James Wheeler, Jimmy Dawkins, John Primer, Byther Smith, Little Mc Simmons, Phil Guy, Lorenzo Thompson, Lurrie Bell, Raful Neal, among others blues leyend brought to Buenos Aires by Adrián Flores.

In 1999 he recorded “I’m goin Home” The first Country Blues cd to be recorded in Argentina. It sold more than 1000 copies and recieved excelent press coments (see press).
Grätzer, edited the first country blues bulletin by mail with more than a hundred subscriptors.
He also created and organized the Argentina country blues and gospel festival .
He founded and directed the First Argentine Blues School (also the first in South America) witch, in the first 3 years, got more than 300 pupils.

In 2000 he started working with his new groups: the Country Blues Boys, and the Gospel Singers, recrating the old country blues and gospel.

In 2002 he created the Cotton Blues Pickers.
He got radio auditions, and appeard in many T.V. programs
